Identifying Main and Supporting Documents

The Main/Supporting column allows you to indicate relationships among attached documents.

To identify any documents in your transaction that support a "Main" document, do the following:

1. In the Main/Supporting column, click the down arrow on the box for a supporting document. A list of document IDs for all main documents in the transaction appears.

2. Select the document ID for the main document that the document supports. For example, for an exhibit in support of a motion, you would select the document ID of that motion. The motion itself would keep its "Main" designation.

3. Repeat for each supporting document.

NOTE: A transaction can contain more than one main document. However, a supporting document can only support one main document.
